Manatee with Mattie

We had a super time at Manatee Springs with Matt and Megan. Sam was the instigator of the alligator parade.

I think the boys had a fantastic time swimming. It was just a little cold for Reese and I so we played in the sand with Lucy.

Disney World

Matt and Megan came with Sam, Tyler and Lucy to visit us in November it was so fun to have family at out house for Thanksgiving.
Megan's parents flew out to watch Lucy while we went to Disney World. They took us all out to dinner at a Crab Shack in Orlando I'm still dreaming about that yummy crab.
Disney was really fun this time! Reese has just reached the required 40 inches to ride the big rides. It was the most fun I have ever had at an amusement park. It was fun to watch Reese. He is just old enough to ride the rides but not quite old enough to be afraid. He laughed the entire time. Tyler on the other hand covered his eyes. I'm still not sure if he was enjoying himself.
At the end of the day Tyler was so tired he finally hitched a ride with Reese in the stroller. It took him less than three minutes before he was asleep.

Haunted Ghost Tour

I know what your thinking. After all the fun we had in St. Augustine so far our day must be over right? Nope think again. We went on a haunted ghost tour. Yep on a trolley Reese was so happy about riding on the trolley I was so happy about not having to walk.

We got to go to the haunted Light House, grove of trees, grave yard and many other haunted sights. Walking back to the car was a little scary.

We didn't get home until midnight. Troy said I made him sleep in the next day. You bet I did.

Wild Waves

By the time we made it back to the beach the sky was dark and the waves were angry. We had just made it out to the the waves and it started to downpour. So when we got back to the car we were drenched. Then we figured we were wet anyway and left everything in the car and went back out in the rain.
It was so much fun to let the wild waves crash into us Reese laughed the entire time. I was a little nervous Troy was a lot more crazy then Reese and I. It was so wierd the waves were warm and the rain was a little cool. We had a really great time I just wish Dylan could have been there.

Ponce de Leon’s Fountain of Youth

That afternoon Troy took us to the Fountain of Youth. Another St. Augustine attraction we have only visited on the outside. Apparently it’s an Archeological Park they are still finding artifacts.

I was a little disappointed the actual spring dried up so they had to dig a well to preserve the historical sight. We did get to drink the stinky well water. It almost made me throw up (pregnancy fun) Reese however loved it. I’m sure the over 40 minerals in the water are good for him right?

All in all I would say it’s a tourist trap for the most part. We did get to see some cool peacocks. Next time I think I will just go to Dad’s drink his well water and see the stray peacocks that live at his house from time to time.

Historic Butler Beach

The first beach we tried was stinky and dirty. We only played for a little while then on to better beaches. I love to watch Reese play in the ocean or the sand. He loves to be outside.

Castillo de San Marcos

Reese and I took Troy to St. Augustine on a day that Dylan had to go to school. We visited Castillo de San Marcos. This is the first time Reese and I got to see the inside of the Fort. (Thanks Troy)

Reese had a fantastic time checking out all the rooms and cannons. It’s actually a National Monument. It was built to protect and defend Spain’s claims in the New World over 330 years ago.
