Confused?

Posted by Picasa

Are we here are we there who really knows? Well let me update everyone. We are home again. This time to stay. For a while at least. As far as I know.

We returned home from D.C. with my parents at the end of August.

Reese and I flew to Utah the first week in September for the funeral of my Grandma Bev. We are so sad to let her go but we know she is in a far better place.

We are happy to be back in Florida with Dylan again.

I am starting where I left off.

Jedi Master Gabe

Dear Master Gabe,

My mom says I am way too young to be wielding a light saber. She is concerned that the nature of the Jedi might interfere with the way I interact with my friends at Preschool. I however, think that this might be the most exciting thing I have experienced in my short life so far. I am so glad to have a cousin so advanced to teach me the ways of the Jedi. I look forward to more training. May the force be with you.

Reese

P.S. My mom will be posting soon.

Sweet Stop in Savanna

On our way back to Florida we stopped in Savanna Georgia to watch the boats and get a sweet snack. My Mom and Dad really enjoyed the fast tour of the old town. While my Mom was trying to order her candy Reese just kept yelling one of these and one of these it was super funny. For more pictures check out my parents blog http://daveandvelma60.blogspot.com/

Exausted Reese

On the fourth day of their visit my parents were so kind they had Reese the entire day. They went to Mount Vernon. Then to see some of the Smithsonian's. I don't have any pictures of that day but this is what he looked like when he got home I think they all had a lot of fun. Thanks Dad and Mom for all your help. We really could not have done it without you!

Since we have been back in our Florida apartment I have really been missing this view. It might be the coolest view I have ever had. Oh wait Dylan just informed me that he is the coolest view I have ever had.

Changing of the Guard

On the third day we visited Arlington Cemetery. We took the bus tour. Reese had a great time riding the bus. I think that’s the only part he really liked. It seemed he was a little bored at the Changing of the Guard. That part about holding still and being quiet is just a little too much to ask of his three year old body.

Marine Corps Band

That evening we took them to see the Marine Corps Sunset Performance at the Iwo Jima Memorial. This is something I will really miss. They practice every Tuesday morning. I could hear the band from our apartment so I made Tuesday my cleaning day. I haven’t really cleaned my apartment since we got back. Could someone please make a band play outside my Gainesville apartment?

My favorite part of the performance is the Silent Cadence. It is so amazing that they can flip the ten pound guns with knives on the end and not hurt themselves or others. I love that Dylan was a Marine so he knows everything that is going on. I'm pretty sure he could find several things he will not like about this post. I know, I know they are not guns or knives I think he would say rifle's and bayonets. Yes, Yes I also know once a Marine always a Marine. If you find any more mistakes just leave a comment.

The first time we saw the Silent Cadence the audience was very quiet (of course). Reese stood up and yelled "ten hut" I was really embarrassed when everyone turned and let out a little laugh.

Soda

I really am a little behind in blogging. We had such a great time in DC with my Mom and Dad. The second day of their stay we visited most of the memorials down town. It is so much faster and easier when you have a handicap parking pass.

While we were visiting the Jefferson Memorial, Reese found an orange plastic cord from a weed eater. Within two seconds it was his naughty imaginary dog Soda, who promptly pooped on the steps. (Seriously Soda have some respect.) Don't worry Reese is a responsible imaginary pet owner, he quickly removed the invisible mess. If only all of the messes Reese is involved in were so easy to clean.
