Terrarium

We went to run errands the other day when Dylan was getting ready to shut the trunk Reese started yelling "frog frog FROG" Dylan and I both looked at the same time and sure enough there was a frog in the trunk about to be smashed. Reese saved the day (just like the wonder pets). Dylan caught the frog in a cup. He put the frog and the cup in a baggie. We had one last stop so while I was in the last store I purchased an inexpensive terrarium.

Reese was so happy he laughed almost the entire way home.
I did not get a picture of the tree frog. We only kept him for a day. As you can see our next victim was the lizard. We only kept him for an hour or so. Reese liked putting green leaves in with him to make him change colors. I'm not sure who was more fascinated Dylan or Reese. This is a fun way to enjoy creatures without having a permanent pet.

Our next conquest is a gecko. I will let you know how that goes.

Thwarted

The Saturday after Reese's Birthday we decided to celebrate with some friends by going to Fanning Springs for a swim. Much to our surprise the spring was flooded. No swimming for us. It was really interesting to see the flood. The kids had a great time playing on the playground.
After they played for a while we took a drive to see a few other places where the Suwannee River was swollen. It ended up being a fun day in the end.

Happy Birthday Reese

Reese turned 4 on April 14Th. He would not stop talking about his monster truck cake from last year. So we had the same one again this year. It worked out really nicely for me since it is so easy to make. He was so excited to share with his friends at Joy School. He had a great Birthday I can't believe he is 4.

Easter Egg Hunt

Reese had super time at the Easter Egg Hunt! It was really exciting they had a hay ride, petting zoo and free pop corn. Not to mention the Easter Eggs.

Crescent Beach

my prospective

The first weekend in April we went to the beach. The dads came for about 45 min. They left after Dylan discovered the paper he had been working on the whole way to the beach was on the jump drive, in his swim shorts, while he was in the ocean.

They went home shortly after. Not before getting the car stuck on the beach. Turns out it's better to have your e-brake off when traversing the sand.

So home it was for the dads. Dylan to work on his paper and Shaun to study for his test the next day. I guess that's what you get for sneaking off for a break.

The moms and kids had a super day.

Swimming with Savannah

Is it warm enough in March to swim in a pool that is not heated? Nope not really. The cold will not stop Reese, it will just make him have to wear his life jacket(way too cold for mom). It's a good thing they have a hot tub to warm things up!
