Christmas Day

We had a great Christmas this year. It was hard to be away from family but we had a fun first Christmas at home with our little ones.
Reese is so much fun at this age. Aiden took a little longer to open his gifts but he had his big brother to help him.
We spent the day in our pajamas playing and eating yummy leftovers.

DC Temple

Last Friday night we went to see the Christmas Lights at the DC Temple. It was beautiful and extremely cold. As we left the snow started to fall, the beginning of a very large snow storm and a state of emergency for the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Trains

For playgroup last week we went to see the train display at The United States Botanic Garden. I must say it was impressive. Reese was in train heaven, anything that can cause him to hold still for more than three seconds must be amazing. I think even Aiden enjoyed it. We had such a fun time we might have to go back and take dad.

Snow Day

This was our first Snow Day in Virginia. Aiden was mesmerized just watching it fall. Reese was so excited. He was asking to go out when it first started snowing. I was so thankful it was a Saturday so Dylan could go play and Aiden and I could stay in an watch.
They had so much fun building their first real snow man Reese made the head all by himself.
Later that day a big kid came an kicked the snow man down. Dylan went out to get the scarf and said "thanks you managed to make my kid sad" next time he might think twice before taking his aggression out on a poor man of snow.
The best part was a happy Reese with rosy cheeks and one entire day without asking if we could go to the beach.

Helpful Husband

In the past I have asked Dylan to please button up the onesie after changing Aiden.
So he did.
I love Dylan. I am thankful for ALL of his help especially when I get to giggle a little as well.

Harpers Ferry

We visited Harpers Ferry National Historical Park a few weeks ago with our friends. It was a fun little trip. I love the little town and all the rich history in the area. Reese loved to see the trains. I did get a little nervous when we climbed up to see Jefferson Rock, Reese likes to get close to the edge.
We all made it home safely we only had one small melt down. Aiden was as happy as could be in the baby back pack. I am so happy he is just big enough for it.
