Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum

Posted by Picasa
The space side... I have to admit I was not very excited to see the space side of the museum. We just recently visited the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. What could be better than that right? I have to say I was not disappointed. They had so many fun exhibits for Reese to see and touch and play with. Dylan even got to play with some cool stuff.

Excavation

This is what we woke up to the other day.

Dylan said “Reese what are you doing?” Reese’s reply “I’m just cleaning out your ear boogers”.

It’s a good thing we have Reese to help with our personal hygiene.

Clemyjontry Park

This is the park we just discovered it’s about a five minute drive from our apartment. It has a little road around and the throughout park complete with bike parking, street signs, and a round about. It also has a carousel that is free on weekdays. Reese is in heaven. It was to fun to see him run from one toy to the next experiencing everything. He really reminds me of Dylan.

Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum

Last weekend we visited the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. We saw the air side now we need to go back to see the space side. Reese had a great time. I think Dylan’s favorite part was The Wright Brothers. It was all very impressive.

Linclon Memorial

We finished our day at the Lincoln Memorial. What a way to spend Memorial Day. We walked home across a long bridge Reese thought that was super fun. I thought it was fun too until the sidewalk ended on the Virginia side. We had to cross some freeway on and off ramps SCARY…Next time we will take the other bridge. So much for Dylan being a walking compass, I love you babe.

Washington Monument

After a nice long nap we took the metro to the National Mall. We started at the Washington Monument. We also saw the World War II Memorial, Korean War Memorial, and the Vietnam Memorial.

Memorial Day

We had a fantastic Memorial Day! Reese and I flew in the day before. So we slept in a little. When we woke up we rode the Metro to the Arlington National Cemetery. As we were coming out of the metro station we saw a helicopter, fire trucks, and multiple military and police cars. Then we saw the President’s motorcade. It was pretty awesome. Reese was just as happy to see the fire truck.

The cemetery was amazing. I am so thankful to live in this country. I am so happy to be living in a place that celebrates the sacrifices of so many. I love Dylan he is so brave. It’s so easy for me to forget, I am always so absorbed in my own self. More than four million people visit the cemetery each year. Wow!

We walked home passing the Iwo Jima Memorial. Dylan thinks it is extra awesome since it is the Marine Corps Memorial.

Potty Training

We started potty training in May

Posted by Picasa
We also stopped potty training in May. Grandma and Grandpa got new carpet so we decided to take a potty training pause. We started again now that we are here in VA. I think everyone should have wood floors when potty training. A little more splash a lot less mess! I heart Clorox wipes. Quick and Easy... Kills 99.9% of bacteria in 30 seconds! I know. I know Troy you keep telling me Urine is sterile. I don't care I am still using my trusty wipes.

We flew back to Utah with Amy and Jake. Reese and I stayed one week in St. George and two weeks in West Point with my parents. It was fun to spend time with all my family together. Reese loves his cousins. He is still taking about them and how he wants to play with them at Grandpas house.

While we were in northern Utah we visited the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. Matt and Megan, Sam Tyler, Lucy, Grandma and Grandpa all came with us. We had super time. Grandpa Dave gave Reese new "cow boots" as Reese calls them when he is demanding that we put them on. They came in handy while riding the dinosaurs. Thank You Grandpa Dave!

Manatee Springs

Posted by Picasa

At the end of April my sister Amy and Baby Jake came to visit us in Florida. Uncle Curt came too but he had to stay in Orlando for the entire time.

We had and exciting time seeing the Bats and the Alligators at lake Alice. We also went swimming at Mentone and at Manatee Springs.

It was so fun to have her come see where we live and what we do everyday.
Reese loves baby Jakie.

I can't wait for them to come again.

We spent most of April swimming at the Mentone pool with our buddies. Our apartment complex has a pool but its not heated. Plus its just not as cool as the Mentone pool. Reese loves swimming I love the naps he takes after swimming.
